DAY SCHOLARS ASSOCIATION :
1. There shall be a Day Scholars Association namely “S.J. Mahavidyalaya Day Scholars Association”.
2. All the Day Scholar Degree Students shall be the members of the society.
3. Every member shall pay to the society a subscription of Rs.10/- per year at the time he pays his first instalment of the College     Fees for the Session.
4. The Aims and Objectives of the association are to foster team spirit to inculcate spirit of fellowship and co-operation among     all the Day Scholars.
5. The principal of the College shall be the Ex-officio President of the Association.
6. The affairs of the Association shall be managed by an Executive Committee consisting of the following members.
a. President - Principal
b. Vice-President - Nominated by Principal from among the teaching staff.
c. Associate Members- Nominated by Principal from among the teaching staff.
d. Secretary and Asst. Secretary elected by the students.
e. One Class Representative from each class.

THE EDUCATION SOCIETY:
The Education Society shall be named as “The Education Society of S.J. Mahavidyalaya, Naugaonhat, Jagatsinghpur”.
Aims:-
The Aims and Objectives of the society is to foster Academic pursuits of life and to promote activities like conducting seminars on education matters, debates & essay competitions, paper readings, symposia and inviting eminent educationist to deliver lecturers in the interest of the students and staff as well.

Membership:-
All the Regular +2 Students having Education as an Optional Subject and +3 Students having Education as a Honours or Pass shall be the member of the Association. Each member has to pay an Annual Subscription of Rs.15/- at the time of he/she pays his/her 1st instalment College Fees for the Session.

Organization:-
The Management of the affairs of the Education Society is entrusted to an Executive Committee consisting of:
a) The Principal as Ex-Officio President.
b) The Head of the Education Department as Ex-Officio Vice-President.
c) All the Lecturers of the Education Department as members.
d) A Secretary from among the +3 3rd year Hon’s. Students & an Assistant Secretary from among the +3 2nd year Hon’s    Students to be nominated by the HOD, Education.
e) One Class Representatives from each year to be nominated by the HOD.

THE SIENCE SOCIETY :
The Science Society shall be named as “The Science Society of S.J. Mahavidyalaya, Naugaonhat, Jagatsinghpur”.

Aims :
The Aims and Objectives of the society is to foster Academic pursuits of life and to promote activities like conducting seminars on Science matters, debates & essay competitions, paper readings, symposia and inviting eminent Scientist to deliver lecturers in the interest of the students and staff as well.

Membership :

THE SEMINAR :
Each Department has a seminar with a Seminar Library. Enthusiastic students who want extra reading for Hon’s may utilise the facilities of the seminars of respective subjects.
1. The Department should organise Seminars with approval of the Principal.
2. Reading facilities shall be available to the Hon’s Students of the Department and other meritorious students with the      permission of the Prof.-In-Charge.
3. The HOD shall nominate a Secretary from among +3 Final Year & Assistant Secretary from +3 2nd Year Hon’s Students. They      will be custodian of the Seminar Library.
4. No seminar should be kept open after 5 P.M.
5. No books, journals, reports and other material should be taken out of the Seminar Room.
6. For requisition of books from College Library the Secretary and the Assistant Secretary should apply to the principal in writing     through the Prof.-In-Charge.
7. Only books with more than one copy in the General Library can be issued to a Seminar.
8. For the loss of any books from the Seminar the Secretary and the assistant Secretary shall be jointly responsible.
9. A member of the teaching staff shall be nominated by the principal as Prof.-In-Charge for each seminar.
10. Each Hon’s Student has to produce a clearance from the respective Seminar at the time of Filling up Forms for University        Examination.

STUDENT’S ASSOCIATIONS & SOCIETIES :
The Cultural Association :
There shall be +2 Cultural Association named as “S.J. Mahavidyalaya +2 Cultural Association, Naugaonhat, Jagatsinghpur.

Aims :
The Aims and Objectives of the Cultural association are to foster in students the democratic spirit and inculcate the sense of corporate academic life.

Functions :
a) To organise discussion on Academic and Cultural aspects.
b) To organise Debates, Essay & Art competitions.
c) To invite eminent persons to address the members of the association in its Annual Function.
d) To organise activities as proposed by the association and approved by the Principal.

Membership :
Each regular student of +2 classes of the College is a member of the association. These students whose names are on the rolls of the College are eligible to cast their votes in the election and contest for Office of Secretary, Assistant Secretary of the Association unless otherwise debarred.

The Executive Body :
1. Secretary.
2. Assistant Secretary.
3. One Representative from each class of +2 Streams.

Functions of the Executive Body :

1. To chalk out the programme of activities of Cultural Association for a session.
2. To adopt the Annual Budget.
3. To undertake other activities of the association approved by the Principal.

Vice-President :
There shall be a Vice-President of the Cultural association appointed by the Principal from among the teaching staff. The function of the Vice-President shall be similar to that of the advisor of the College Union of +3 Streams.

The Secretary & the Assistant Secretary :
There shall be a Secretary and Assistant Secretary elected from among the Students of +2 Streams. In absence of the Secretary the Assistant Secretary will perform all his functions.
